Our goal is to get a world class concrete skatepark built for Greenwich by the time the Olympic games rolls around in 2012.

Mile end skatepark has become a real hub for skateboarding in East London. It has a great following attracting street skaters with the miles of water-smooth concrete, ledges and quirky little features. It has a couple of mini ramps undercover for rainy days. The only downside (for me) is that the bowl is a bit tight, and with a few more feet given over to the footprint Mile End would have been 10/10. Tower Hamlets are setting a great example in how it should be done.
They’ve also more recently put a BMX track in over the road.
